Features · Opt-in Widget

Ask before the browser does.

The opt-in widget puts your own prompt in front of the browser’s permission dialog. Your words, your colour, your timing. Visitors who are not interested simply dismiss it, and you keep the right to ask again.

Why the soft ask matters

A browser gives you exactly one chance. If a visitor blocks the native permission dialog, it is blocked for good. You cannot prompt them again, and no amount of good content will win them back.

So NotifyPress never triggers that dialog cold. Your prompt asks first, and the browser is only invoked once someone has already said yes. A dismissal costs you nothing but a few days’ wait.

What you control

All of it per site, from your site settings, with no code involved.

Your words

Title, message, and the labels on both buttons. The defaults are serviceable; "Get restock alerts" and "Notify me" will beat them on your own site every time.

Three layouts and your accent colour

Minimal is a clean, browser-native popup. Card is a floating panel with room for an icon. Banner is a full-width bar along the bottom. Your accent colour carries through the buttons.

When it appears

Show it immediately, or wait a set number of seconds so a first-time visitor gets to read something before you ask them for anything.

What happens after "no"

Set how many days to wait before asking again. Someone who declined on Tuesday is not asked again on Wednesday, which is the difference between a prompt and a nag.

Run more than one site? Every one of these is set separately, so a client store and a personal blog need nothing alike. See multi-site management.

From script tag to subscriber

01

Add the snippet

One script tag with your site key, plus a one-line service worker file at your site's root. On WordPress the plugin does both for you and there is nothing to paste.

02

A visitor gets asked properly

Your prompt appears first. Your words, your colour. The browser's own permission dialog only opens once they have said yes to yours, so a decline never costs you the ability to ask again.

03

They are yours to message

The subscription registers against your site, with country, browser, device and the moment of consent recorded, and the person appears in your subscriber list ready to segment.

The bell does more than subscribe

A small bell sits in the corner of your site for anyone who dismissed the prompt and changed their mind. Opening it shows their recent notifications, whether they are currently subscribed, a switch to change that. And a button to erase their data entirely. That last one is a GDPR obligation most tools make you handle by email.
